I think that if you run a dry shot of nitrous you wont have to change fuel grades.

I ran a dry kit on my Y8 for YEARS.. and it is STILL running somewhere.. someone on this board actually has it.. that car saw more than 1000lbs of nitrous through it...

70 shot dry TOPS
spark plugs were one heat range colder
93 octane
walbro fuel pump

and that car ran GOOD..

only really street raced.. on the y8 with a 50 shot I would hang with and occasionally beat high 14 second cars.. on the 70 shot it was likely mid to low 14s judging by the cars I raced.... amazing? great? no.. but for a fairly stock single cam with some bolt ons.. it was well worth it.. and VERY safe AND reliable.. for me at least..

y8 + mild shot of nitrous =s somewhere in the 14s imo..

ohhh wow not bad at all. thanks for the info. do you think a 75 shot is pushing it or do you think that a 50 shot should do it?

I think that you could run a 50 shot all day.. I think with 70+ you are rolling the dice.. I think that an aftermarket fuel pump is a must.. I had an electronic fuel pressure gauge mounted IN the car so I could make sure the motor was seeing enough fuel.. and the stock pump eventually gave out.. NEVER had an issue with the walbro unit..

god luck let us know how it goes..

IMO dry shots arent the best idea... I have heard bad things about them, Im currently running a 70 shot wet kit on the civic. Only sprayed once but it was a great increase for the money. I had it on the focus and i ran a 9.9 in the 1/8 with a 60 shot and cold air intake. Pretty good i think anyway.

well i sprayed dry for 7 (?) YEARS... over ONE THOUSAND LBS of nitrous.. and when i sold that motor it was still running.. it was ALL on a DRY KIT with a good fuel pump.. 50... 60..... 70.... these modest increases in power are completely safe on a dry kit... the reason that higher (150) HP numbers require a wet kit (or direct port) is because with a dry kit the nitrous and fuel become unevenly distributed... a wet kit solves that..

Fair warning if you decide to run 75 shot you will have to have to take timing out or add some which ever when we tried to run 75 with Walboro it bogged was right mix getting fuel and correct jets just timing was not allow for it.

what fuel pressure regulator were you running.. i have seen issues with the 255 pump running overly rich and bogging on stock FPRs..

totally missed this thread sorry..

I ran the Walbro 255 LPH pump but found that it over powered my stock regulator and I had to make some substantial adjustments to not have it run too rich.. not sure on a 7th gen..

i ran a 50 shot on a on a d15 for years, then when i sold that car, i put it on my ls integra , bumped it up to a 75, then when i sold that car put it on a d16, all still ran great. i say do it, its pretty fun . but if you do it, get a purge kit. makes it 10x more fun lol

Hey guys, I'm new on this stuff.

Thinking about getting my D16Y7 on to nitrous, due to Turbo restriction in Brazil, so, I was thinking about a 50 - 60 shot wet kit... Here comes the hard to ask question (I'm learning), should I do any extra changes or will the car run normally the way it is (original parts, and timing), with the 50 - 60 shot?

Thanks!
