No crank no start, the battery is grounded properly, brand new working starter, fuses are all good, really can't figure out what's wrong with it. Any help would be appreciated.

97 Honda Civic HX D16Y7 block Y8 head.

Are you sure the engine ground is solid as well? Have you inspected the ECU & relays? Does everything else work?

I believe the car will crank without an ecu therefore the ecu wouldn't be the issue. Most likely it's an ignition cylinder issue or a wiring issue somewhere

Check for voltage at the starter while someone turns the ignition switch. Obviously, be careful with any moving parts! If you don't get any voltage there, check your fuse and relay but you may have to look into the ignition switch next. Sometimes it's easier to take the started out and test with a known good battery.

Are u hearing a loud Click when u try to start the car? Give the starter a good wack with the hammer. Your starter could be getting sticky.

there should be 3 wires on the starter one is power from the battery 12mm nut holds this cable down then a black/white wire to solenoid which is the wire to the ignition cylinder and the third is bolted to the bracket thats attached to the starter is ground strap(grounded to the chassis) you should have 12 volt on power and ground and 12 volts on the solenoid wire when the key is turned over to start. and if the ground strap was forgotten it won't let your starter to crank over even if everything else and all the voltage is correct. lots of times people forget these grounds or over look them
