In Australia the Fit is badged as the Jazz and has been selling here for quite some time. I have driven a Honda Jazz VTi compliments of our local Honda dealer many times when my Civic Coupe and CR-V was in the workshop for servicing. It's quite a neat little car with a trick "7 speed" CVT gearbox.

it has a 7sp tranny, automatic tho =)

in the US, it has a different front end. those jazz ones and JDM fits are like this, so imo, you US "Fitters" gonna make some JDM conversions lol

Interesting thinking, then why do cars WITH a broad powerband have it????? (Mercedes, Lexus etc off the top of my head)

i think their's is more performance oriented becuase they have the performance. In this situation i was thinking more along the lines of a semi-truck...up to 18 gears because they only make decent power for a very small rpm span.....

That would be NONE which is why I posed that follow up question. =)

I mean, I think I just missed the obvious answer in fuel economy and engine efficiency...but...yeah..... ;)

I saw it dude. I told 'u're gonna swap it' because if a US spec honda has different things or a different style u are converting it to JDM type =) doing this is really cool btw ;)

No i won't be doing it cause it's cool, if i did it's cause of style, taste, form and function, which is 100% true about most jdm stuff, however being i just bought mine i can't or rather refuse to till about 3 years from now after the warranty, lol, then maybe i'll think about it.
