EJ1
I have a 1993 Civic ej1 and I'm getting no heat in it. I swear me and my mechanic friend have done everything possible. HERES WHAT I'VE DONE SO FAR:
1.) Change heater core still no heat
2.) I purchased the car with car harness burnt in certain sections so we first we thought okay new harness should fix issue. Bought a harness from same year make but model was a lx. With thought that everything is plug and play. So replace original harness with new harness car starts with new fuse and new relays and the heat works for a while and has soon has the brakes were tapped fuse pops heats gone. So then spoke to a car electrician who said it doesn't matter if the harness is from the same make and model it will not work if codes on harness don't match up.
3.) Next we decided to take original harness and replace every burned wire with new wires checked and double check to make sure we covered and replaced each burned wire. Car starts up with new fuse and new relay car starts and heats on a blowing for 20 to 25 mins. Finally I have hope and thinking issue is fixed. Tapped brakes heats still going has soon has car is put into gear and start to drive fuse pops.
So I come the honda world to see what else can be done PLEASE help PM back with suggestions its winter time and it is not fun driving with no heat. Great car all around no issue but the bloody heat.
