I have a 97 Honda Civic LX, and I am having trouble with heat coming out my driver and passenger side vents. There is air coming out the vents but no heat. I thought it was the valve under the hood but its not, because I opened and closed it by hand and it still dont work. But the strange thing is when I turn on the defroster the heat comes out and I use that to heat the inside of my car. But that only does so much on a cold morning. I am thinking its the heating core, but that wouldnt explain the heat coming out the defroster vents in the front and back. Somebody told me I need to flush out my heating core by using a air compressor and running water through it. Not sure if that will work or damage something. Any help will be appreciated.
