no interor lights

Hey guys im really sorry if this is a repost but i dont have time to search. I hard hurd a noise like something was rubbing like a wire but i cant find a lose wire it made like a cracking noise and i lost my dash lights i found a blown fuse so i replaced it and my lights are still out can someone help?

Might have been a wire that was getting hung on a fan some where. Check around any moving parts under your dash if you can.

yeah i checked to see if i could see anything and as soon as i turn the car on the fuse blows

did you install a stereo or something to do with the wiring?

that stereos been in there for year and never any probs with it

If the fuse blows every time you try and crank it, you have a wire being grounded. You need to look back over ALL your wiring carefully.

i couldnt find anything so i gotta spend the money and send it to the shop i guess

so i took the car to the shop and turns out the dumbass that installed my radio left a live wire uncovered

I had that happen... only my radio was in with a plug and play harness that I put in... and the wire was live because the car was stolen and they cut the wiring up on a plug and play radio (thank god it didn't damage my dash harness!).
