Well i have the money for it and such, and i was actually going to order from a guy a couple days ago. But seemed fishy that he wanted a money order so bad when we could have done COD so i chose not to and some how steered a differant direction. Im ordering some crower stage2 cams, valve springs and retainers, thinner head gasket, and CTR pistons this weekend. Probably wont even put at 200whp like the turbo would have but oh well :???:

wait so one person made you go from FI to NA? why not just get a turbo from someone/somewhere else?

I dont know thats why i said i some how steered towards N/A it just sorta came in my head then i started looking around and dicided thats what i wanted to do.

well if its what you want to do then im not going to be the only one holding you back. although i myself believe FI > NA. however that is my opinion. gl with future projects.

ahhh ic. there are other factors that come into play here. then it makes more sense to me. cuz you said you already have the money for the turbo. wait no im just lost.

Yes i have the money for the turbo kit, but its not really safe to just throw it on and then not know when the next time your going ot have enough money to waste for internals or something to really tune it with. N/A is basically just safer for me and more in my over budget i guess.

if thats what your basing it on. then i suggest you wait... just keep the money in your bank account and keep accumulating and also get some interest for it. then when you can afford the turbo with no worries then go for it. NA is safer ill give you that. but i guarentee the wait will be worth it. if not then ill have to show you what you missed out on when i turbo my car. but the decision is yours.

you shoulda just dealt with sleepercivicex... he's an authorized options dealer than can get u great prices....


imho, i'd rather build up the suspension before going into power.

I talked with him he did have good prices, but i was going ot get a kit for dirt cheap only 1300 for a full kit i think he was like 2200 or something like that and www.city-speed.com is only 2100. But he did say to talk to him more about it, i just never got around to it.

im sorry to hear that man. oh well, whatever floats your boat. may i suggest a p&p job, 3 angle valve job, bored throttle body, skunk2 intake mani, itr header, short ram intake (i suggest the sri, because with na you are basicly going for top end...so why not add more to where you are building your motor for...), and perhaps a hondata, so you can fine tune your fuel and you can raise your revs. what compression your plan on running??

Right now i have ITR cams, ITR ported intake manifold, JUN "type" header, Injen CAI, 2.5" exhuast and DC short throw, im going to get those cams sell my ITR's and then get the CTR pistons and a vtec controller. All in all it will probably be around just a guesstimate 2000 bucks give or take a few. I dont really know how high of compression i want.

i'd say just get the internals strenghened for now, then add some serious boost when you have even more money, that way you have peice of mind as opposed to adding boost with stock internals.

To late i spent alot of money yesterday but going N/A so far has been pretty cheap. I got skunk2 stage 2 cams, retainers valve springs and cam gears for 400 bucks brand new from a friend. Got a brand new type R valve cover for 50 exedy raceing clutch and 8lb flywheel for 300, and getting it all put in on monday. Alot cheaper then going turbo.

itbs PWN JOO!!!!11!!!!1!!!!!!! well they would i you had stupid big cams and ran a stupid high compression. id suggest going somewhere around 12-13 compression...meaning sell the ctr pistons, get some je pistons and a thin headgasket.

edit: stroker kits kick ass.

I was looing at some crower pistons 12.5.1. Hondata makes a thinner headgasket dont they? Im not sure where to get that.

yeah i think they do, they also make a gasket for your intke mani which (according to them) gives you hp...or something...

Yeah i heard about the one that goes on the intake manifold its suppose to keep your engine alot cooler or something. IDK
