I've been working on hooking up my sony 1200 watt amp for 2 weeks and I'm still having problems. I have everything hooked up correctly (i've double checked), and all my fuses are working. I grounded my amp on the rear seat beat under the seat. Where do you have your amp grounded for a 6th gen? I think its a problem with my grounding so any help is appreciated.

yeah bro, its probably your ground. some amps are picky-er then others. you need to find the right spot on the car otherwise the amp will not turn on. try another place to ground the amp and see if it works. Also check your remote turn on lead.

I've tried numberous places to ground. Is it possible to ground in two spots and have them going to the same ground port because i dont think im getting a good connection, so i was thinking that two spots would have the same effect as one really good spot.

a) it's a sony... I had one go out on me, and it was definetely a piece of s**t
b) did you buy the amp new, or used? I'd go ahead and replace the fuses if you got it used....

I just had this problem not too long ago...

Ok i finally got it all working and it sounds great!!! But does anyone know if the power light stays on all the time on a sony amp? I thought that it should turn off when my deck is off. I re-did the connect for the remote wire but it still stays on. Please let me know so that im not stuck on the side of the road with a dead battery. haha Thanks.

Ya its the skinny blue wire that goes from the deck to the amp.
