Noise when turning

A few weeks ago my car started making a squealing noise when i would first start moving. It would go away after about ten seconds of driving and it only happened once every week or so. It's been steadily getting worse and is now almost constant when in motion. It sounds like the noise your brakes make when they get low, with a little bit of grinding mixed in. It is coming from the front passenger wheel well.
I don't have power steering. It isn't related to my clutch. The noise doesn't change with my rpms, though it does get higher pitched as I pick up speed.
I only know the very basics about cars and, as I'm short on cash, I'm hoping to figure out how to fix it myself.

I would say its your brakes probably in combination with worn rotors. It could be something else but that's what I'm thinking

It could also be the metal guard found behind the brakes and rotors. Mine was bent at one time and it would grind when I turned so check that too

It's brakes, but..... and I'm stretching here, could be an axle too but I'd say less than 5% chance of that.

buy yourself some new disc's and pads and give yourself a stoppie job son!

Axles is a slim possibility but still a possibility. I mean it can be a number of things. If you don't have alot of funds right now just do the brakes and both rotors should be no more than 125 max. When you get more funds change your ball joints that'll cost you about 100 max

It was the caliper. It was sticking really bad. Thank you to everyone who replied! I replaced it this morning and now I'm off to work. Have a great day! =)
