Is it me, or are all the noobs ruining ClubCivic? None of them know how to post in the correct section, and if they do, there is absolutely no point to their threads. I know theyre noobs and all, but its starting to get rediculous.

It's been talked about... but it would turn away a lot of new members. Most people find the forum because they have a question. If they can't start a thread, they'll either threadjack or go to another forum in which they could ask a question.

Besides, how are people going to get their post count up if they don't know much about cars and come here to learn AND you're not allowed to threadjack? Just doesn't work.

Worked for club rsx for years. You don't need to create a thread or write a damn thing if you know how to read. If we required more sit time before they could just start spewing BS then I'm sure they would find the information they're looking for by using the search function.

-The noobs aren't using the search function. (I suggested putting the search button next to the new thread button months ago to no avail)
-They aren't paying attention to where things go in the least, which means more clutter.
-They're stirring up s**t with their trolling and retarded attitudes.

To be honest, I think newbs posting thread in the wrong sections is the least of the problems we have now. It's not difficult for mods to move the threads, and it really doesn't hurt anybody except those who are very anal about orderliness and the OP him/herself. Clutter is not an issue. It's not like there are 50 or even 5 threads a day that don't belong in any particular area. There is not a clutter issue.

Yes, newbs could search.. but so could everyone. Almost any question you could ask has been covered on here. If everybody just searched, there would be no activity on this forum. This has also been discussed before here in off topic last time somebody else complained. Bringing the topic back up also allows for further discussion of the topic and may lead in a different direction than it did when it was last discussed. People enjoy discussion. If you don't, I don't know why you're on a forum.

The whole troll thing is being worked out.. as I've stated before.

We aren't club RSX.

Also it should be noted that Google doesn't pull up the ClubCivic main page unless you search for a Civic Forum. People with questions about their car don't google "Forum" they search for what their problem is and then sift through the answers.

So the people looking to post stuff are either:
A: Looking for a forum to mix it up in.
B: Found CC while searching for a problem and found usefull information.

B is the worst one, because these people, upon finding information by searching, apparently completely forget that they can search for further nformation on their own and then need to be spoon fed as they fill random sections with their threads.

Honestly.. what do you think the function of this forum is? To BS in off topic about politics and porn? I'm curious, what do you think we're here for?
