i think the insight has been around longer than the prius...

1st gen insight - 1999
1st gen prius - 2001 (US - jp was in 1997)

I like the front - the back is eh. it DOES look like a civic+prius. huh. huh. huhhuh. hey beavis.

i hate priuses as much as anyone, but the new insight gets worse mileage than one, popular mechanics (i think) just did an arcitle on one

you dont have kids yet i say if you want an insight craigslist an old coupe i see em go for around 7k .... 70mpg FTW

yeah s2000 is the car to have. but as everyone moves on with a new honda i'm moving on with a chevy colorady...4 door.

I'm tired of waiting for someone to go to the snow so i can hitch a ride, and not be able to take my kids somewhere unless my wife isn't working. my car is going bye bye soon.

True, the insight was out first, however, the new Insight looks more similar to the current Prius but that's simply due to drag characteristics and is right now the optimal design

I have to agree with you, when I went onto the honda website to check the specs on the new Insight, I was expecting to see a minimum of 50MPG, but to see that it's 41mpg - good and whack at the same time, shiet the 06 civic was rated to get 38mpg highway!!!

However, despite the MPGs, the goal of the new redesigned insight was to be AFFORDable - starting at 20k (which is reasonably affordable akshully) but it's not like it's far off of the Prius starting $22,000 48/45
— so really they are not far off from each other but I'm a honda fanboi! haha

well whatever on who came out first. it still looks ugly. if i was gonna get something to "save " gas i might as well go all the way and get an electric car.

And to continue w the hybrids...one of my boys has a 04 i believe civic hybrid automatic. That car is so f**king slow, but also a dream to drive..iono why.

I keep on telling him to drop it on some nice wheels. U can get better mpg if you dont have to slow down and accelerate on corners.

seems like all i do in this thread is knock peoples choices in new cars

but those colorados are trouble, the 5 cyls in em are terrible .... shop around and find an older silverado crew cab youll get the same mileage at least 17 hwy .... my buddy had an 05 colo and best ever was 18mpg and his was 2wd

damn right you just smacked me right on the mouth...i think my tooth is lose. I f**kin love the colorado too. If that's the case, I might as well go with a full size silverado then. I don't want a crew cab...it has to be a 4 door. I'm used to a 17mpg. lol...my old yukon was like that.

and if not the colorado, Then what mini truck (that's 4 door) and like a colorado would you recommend?
