the 190k mileage one for 4800-5200? i saw it on craigslist and ht
no. my mom works for AAA in hayward and they just got a theft recovery in to her yard and she says its in immaculate condition with only the head unit missing.

the only bad thing is that its a salvage title, but oh well. she says i could get it for about $3500 :shock:

oh and it only has 80k on it :shock::shock:

are you sure?
— your current car = you know all about it and it seems to be in overall great condition
— used Si = who knows what it's story is

For you, swapping motors is a bit of a challenge as far as legality goes - your car is a 99/00 —> AFAIK; block should be same year or newer as the car (not older)

anyhow, look at these prices

B16A 92-95 (SiR-II) Complete Change Over
170Hp 113Trq 10.4 Compression (JDM)
$ 2250.00 Plus shipping and handling

B18C 94-97 (GSR) Complete Change Over
180Hp 126Trq 10.6 Compression (JDM)
$ 2899.00 Plus shipping and handling.

+ labor if you take it to RZP or do it yourself, a lot cheaper than getting an Si

I went through route you're thinking of, buy an Si — if I knew what I know now; would have bought a 92-00 civic and swapped it immediately

im just scared of tuning the boost. I just want NA cuz im going to daily the hell out of it.

I want either a B16A from an Si and i can barr any Si since mine is 99 or a 99+ GSR, this seems like the cheapest, hassle free(stateref) route. Or a 99+ USDM/JDM Type R B18C5/B16B. I know the Type R's will be 3k+ but i think its worth the extra NA 20ishHp and trq. And i want the LSD tranny

you can have a daily car boosted. believe me you can. ;)

Just make sure you dont go all crazy with the boost lvls and your golden and of course your engine just have to be healthy to begin with, which it should be.

you can built up your own kit for about 1700 or so and you would be running at about 170hp or 180 with more tq then a swap.

man 3k to just achieve about 60hp extra.

boosted D. best bang for the buck.

i'll have to do a lot of researching for boost :P

1700 with stock internals? will spray painting the intercooler mess anything up? I dont want it to be too noticeable. I know a red car with gold wheels isnt the best sleeper exterior but yeah lmao. Dont want to be showing off the boost to chp.

you can use the stock 300zx small side mount intercooler =) and yes with stock internals, u dont need no crazy high boost mannnn...boost like 6-8lbs.
or the one from the volvos =)

look into the DSM T25 tubros. they are small compared to other turbos but hey. your aiming for a DD so u dont need crazy power and it spools super early 2.5k rpms . im perfectly settled with 170-190whp...imagine the torque!

B16A 92-95 (SiR-II)
170Hp 113Trq 10.4 Compression (JDM)
$ 2250.00

B18C 94-97 (GSR) Complete Change Over
180Hp 126Trq 10.6 Compression (JDM)
$ 2899.00

boosted D's gets more trq then that lol
