Not holding boost

I just recently bought a turbo xs high performance boost controller, anyways my car was only running 4 pounds before, but now when i put on the boost controller i have it up to seven. sometimes when i punch the car to full throttle it'll only sometimes boosts up to 7 and other times only 4 like it used to, depending on the way i step on the throttle, but sometimes when it does reach 7 pounds it only holds it for so long then boost pressure drops to 4 again. My tial external wastegate spring is only for 5.6 pounds is this why it doesn't hold boost? Or could it be the boost controller? please help.

try getting another 7pound or higher spring for the wastegate and check your hoses for leaks.

ill check for leaks, but i dont think thats it if it holds boost fine at 4 pounds but not at seven

what does that have to do with boost? a turbo should still spool and hold boost no matter what your fuel management is

Not necessarily.. if he's running really lean, he might not be generating enough CFM to spool.

Its a REALLY easy answer....

And changing your spring won't do anything... 5.6 springs should be able to handle well over 10psi without upgrading.

so a spring wont help any? Well if that is the case then it might be that im running an fpr with my stock injectors on. I have rc 370's and an vafc. the 370's arent on because the car bogs all kinds when there on and the vafc is connected but needs tunining for when i put my bigger injectors on. I just haven't had somebody tune my s**t yet.

that could be your problem right there. i dont think the stock injectors are providing enough fuel to run 7psi. those 370's should be perfect for 7-8psi. read up on the vafc hack, there should be plenty info about it on honda-tech. i ran 7psi on 310cc's w/ vafc hack and it worked fine . .. . . but i would def recomend saving up for hondata. u wont be sorry

stock injectors for 7 lbs shouldnt be a problem....depending on the condition....second u need to get rid of the xs....simply crap....third get the b***h tuned

the only way that can be true is if hes running SO lean he cant raise his RPMs......thus not letting in as much air and combusting it... otherwise... I cant agree.
