why not. get rid of the truck you dont need to be wasting your money on gas like that especially now during all this economy s**t. plus sounds like his car would be nicer than your truck.. if it was me i would work out some kind of trade..

or you could spend $45 on a new head gasket for your civic and not have to worry about the headaches of owning a dsm...

and then you still have a truck if you ever need it...

plan was to drive the truck until tax returns and get the head gasket and boost the civic. but it might change to trade the truck for the talon and sell the civic because the talon is already boosted.

lol. idk a friend had 3 and 2 were ok the 1 was a 92 talon auto, between 3 transmissions and all the internals i heave built a dsm transmission atleast 3 times. but the dropping and install of it thats a piece of cake. i think it took us an hour once, his dad timed us. i dont think i would mind having a dsm is it really that bad. please be honest.

so the kid who tries to drive like a street racer, aka the dsm owner. is getting a new transmission and isnt buying/trading for my truck. pissed me off, i had a tranny lined up and s**t and he is saying he is going to keep it untill he goes to basic this summer.

my friend tried to trade a 98 neon rt for the talon and he almost took it because it had racing stripes. the deal breaker was the talon had a shinyer motor so his mom said it wasnt worth it. i hate people who know nothing about cars. but the friend with the neons dad rents this place to his cousin who had a prelude or a civic(he is not sure) and it has a broken tie rod end. he didnt know how to fix it so he left it sitting and moved to texas, it has been sitting for 6 months. the cousin is signing it over to my friends dad and we are going to fix the tierod end and he is going to sell it to me cheap. im kinda happy.

Dsm trannys are OK, not bad, not great. The reason you here so much about them is cuz alot of DSM drivers dont know how to drive and they just get eclipses and talons cuz there quick stock.

He is not talking about getting a DSM anymore.

It really depends on what the definition of "cheap" is.

As long as the body/interior is not in bad shape, it sounds like a decent deal.

i personally havnt seen the car. my buddies dad said the transmission is really tight, and there is some rust around the quarters.
