Well like the title says. I'm new to the site, but not to cars or the scene. I got a 97 dx hatchback and am gonna be putting a pretty good sized system in the car. Hope to talk more to you all

Thanks. Yeah its pretty clean in and out. Nothing real huge on the engine or do I plan to go big. I'll put a dcpower 200a alternator and maybe basic bolt ons. Then there is the 4kw stereo which will weight the car down about 250+ lbs. Other than that it'll stay fairly stock........... for now

im curious as to the details of this sytem. 250 pounds is a lot of weight, but very easy to add up to. my sinlge 12 with box was close to 80ish atleast

It'll consist of a kicker solo x 12 weighing at 64lbs. A slot ported box around 5 cubes. That itself should be around 100+ lbs. Kicker kx2500.1 monoblock for the amp and a Memphis 600x2 for the mids and highs. Add in the 2 optima yellow tops in the spare section at around 50-60lbs each. It adds up quick. It'll do around 146+ dbs. Not including all the 1/0 wire that will ven in the car.

Any DIY threads on this? It sounds noobish but how the car looks is how I got it. I've had it a week lol.

Thanks. I should be getting it tinted this week hopefully. Ordering the 200a alternator tomorrow and will be installing the sub hopefully within the next 2 weeks. Can't stand driving with no bass

I know that feeling besides the civic eveyr other car ive ever driven has had a system in it.
For some reason got tired of it cant justify buying everything id need for it since i sold all my audio stuff a while ago.
