o2 sensor warmup?

i have a plx r-500 wideband and i plan to leave it in the car.

but i remember hearing something about that your supposed to warmup the sensor before driving or something. Is this true, and if so how do i do it. thanks

The sensor has to warm up before it reads. You can drive the car while it warms, up.. it is just like the stock sensor.

so basically your just saying that it wont read the exact correct reading until it is warmed up.

Yes, that is why O2 sensors have heaters on them. They have a heat range that they function in, so they won't work correctly untill they reach it.
