OBD system

when swapping a 96 gsr motor into a 91 civic, what type of OBD system is used? i know that the 96 and above cars us an OBD2 but is the euc OBD1 or 2 or what.


-17 needs all the help i can get with learning new things about cars. project car 91 civic-

You'll want an OBD1 computer. Does that GSR motor have a harness? If not, you need one to make life simpler. It will be nearly plug and play except for a few minor things. I have an 01 GSR engine harness on my B16 in my 93 EJ1 w/ OBD1 ECU.

A 91 civic is OBD0. Make sure you get the right conversion harness, it's not OBD2 to OBD1. You have the jdm front end conversion then, too?
