occasional fuel smell at high rpms

Hello everyone. I was driving the other night and around 6k rpms I got a really strong fuel smell coming through my vents. I looked for leaks and popped my hood but couldn't smell any fuel. I went home and again got the smell at high rpms. Since then I haven't gotten any fuel smells. Has anyone had a similar problem or could help me out? Thanks.

I have this same issue every now and then. I'd really like to know what it could be.

Get someone to step on you pedal and hold it while you look in your engine bay at your fuel s**t.
