Odd lever/button on gauge cluster

I have no idea what this thing is technically called, so googling or searching is out. My owner's manual doesnt describe it, either.

What is this lever called, and what does it do / reset?

Do you see the "maintance required" to the right of that lever. it resets that. that black box below the words "maintance requred" will turn red when maintenace is require. push that lever to rest it.

Took cluster apart, removed the "Mx Required" clicker module.
I don't need my car to tell me when she needs maintenance. I keep a book for that.

holy crap, what is it for? i used to think it was for oil change (although i never used it to indicate oil change) but when ever i would see it change to yellow id just reset it....

Yeah I am not going to take it out but when I saw it was key-sized I reset the red box that jiffy lube didn't remember to reset.
