Oem Cd Player

I have a 97 civic ex with an oem "slave" cd player. It had been working just fine untill just recently it stoped working. It won't play cds anymore. Any ideas?

so everything works but the CD player? sorry, i have no clue. its an 11 year old deck and after that many years of use its probably just worn out. i would go buy an aftermarket deck and put it in. you can easily do it yourself. just buy a deck, the wiring harness (that connects from the OEM plug and has wire on the other side to splice to your deck), butt splices.
