hi guys, long time no talk ha.

i finally got some oem style fog lights off ebay, from k2 motor..

there are no instructions and i believe ive wired everything up to perfect

my problem is that i dont have any power going to the switch, and thus no power to the other side of my depo style relay thing... i can take pics on request but this is what i bought:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/92-95-HONDA-CIVIC-SEDAN-FOG-LIGHT-KIT-YELLOW-JDM-SWITCH-/290694036998?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make:Honda|Model:Civic|Year:1995&hash=item43aeb6fe06&vxp=mtr#ht_5611wt_1007

^came with no instructions, but i already knew that was the case..

i followed this instruction guide:

It easy wire to fuse box..connect ground...install button...plug to fuse...make cut outs in bumper...put brackets together...mount brackets..use zip ties to take up slack for harness....connect lights..put Key in ignition and turn to on position and check the see if they come on...fog light button should light up orange.

i used my jump start battery thing and i used wire to connect it to the jumper, and the yellow slide on connector, and i turned the battery starter on and the switch semi lit up, and when i pressed it in i walked around and my lights work... so the problem is my fuse box, ive tried all the open spots and non give me power to my switch why ?

i might have to rig i and get more wire and wire the switch to the battery as well as the fuse/relay.....

very frustrating but good to know my lights do work...

any input ?

that diagram is nice, and i still think i did it the same, i just have a problem with my fuse box, i have power before i pluggged the connector in and then i lose power? is it because my ground is bad? the fuse isnt giving enough power to the switch ? wtf? haha...

Check ur grounds make sure ur contacting metal..check the relay also just to make sure everything's connected....take out the fuse that came with the harness and plug it back in maybe that will help....

dude.. i just figured it out almost, the stupid end of the yellow connector that goes to the fuse box wasnt making contact, so i just took it off, but then i noticed smoke coming from the hood and it was my fuse and the blue wire from the fog lights that melted all over the place.. the f**king kit is ruined.. just the thing i needed to be encountered with to begin my day...

thank you

Same exact thing happened to me with the wires melting. It took me about 20 minutes to run all new wires, man. It's really not that hard. Don't get discouraged.

First, they're wires, it's not ruined, run new ones.
Second, this is why you disconnect the battery when you're working on it.

I don't have any pictures I'll take some today.

Mine shorted out. Make sure all the new wired are zip-tied up real good and in a protective sleeve. At any connection coat it in electrical tape. Any loose connection can create heat and melt wires.

Mine melted through the fuse, wires and through all the plastic quick connectors.

I put green HIDs in mine, so I wasn't worried about the bulbs. I'll take some photos this afternoon for you.

I have an extra relay, inline fuse, and the bulbs if you need them. Give manlike $10 for it all shipped.
