This is stupid but its kind of bothering me. I am going to order the greddy kit off ebay soon and it comes with the intercooler type 31. I know this is the one smaller then type 24. I was just wondering I wanted to cut out the bottom grill off my bumper. But if the intercooler is really small and you can see all the pipes then i don't want to do it. I have been look all over the internet for pictures for the past 2 days (no joke) of the type 31 intercooler with the bottom grill cut off the bumper but I can't seem to find any good pictures? If anybody could find some or have any information that would be great.

i didnt even read your whole post. but a while ago i ordered a greddy kit off of ebay... i got ripped, the dude tried to steal my money. paypal recovered most of it.
to fit a type 31, you have to sawzall out part of the bumper support, not just the bumper cover. get the type 24, sell the 31. if you have a crash with only half a bumper support, you are gonna be sol when it comes to not gettin messed up.
Its the opposite you have to cut out the bumper support with the 24, the 31 is smaller then the 24. Its made just for the Ex. Go on www.clubsi.com they have a whole thread dedicated to the greddy turbo kit.
if they are reversed, then sorry, ive been smokin all night so im not exactly at my best form lol.
yeah i plan on getting the 31 but the bottom grill i want to cut out so you can see the intercooler from the outside but i am hoping its not super small and looks good ya know

u could get the dsm intercooler, which sits like on the side of the engine bay, and u cant see them very easily. and imo dont go with a greddy kit, peice together ur own for half the price, it mightnot be carb legal, but it would be able to have hella better performance in the long run with helle better prices
you dont need to cut anything, if you do, then you need to cut away at the inside of the front bumper cover...thats it. you can CLEARLY see either of those, dont cut anything, youll be able to be thta uber-cool kid w/o any cutting....
haha... yeah i know a lot of people don't cut out there bumped with the type 31... but i love the way the intercooler looks with a cut out bumper... i love it... so thats why i want to do it even if i don't have to cut out the bumper i want to do it anyway b/c of the way it looks
