First you need to learn a few things about cars. There are more than one type of bearings and depending on which it is, that's going to make a hell of a difference. Actually, price isn't going to change a whole lot, it's the labor that will kill you if you can't do it yourself.

1. Which bearing?
2. Asking price?
3. Post pics (detailed)
4. = Your question answered

Lol.

Can't give you the price of the bearing and how much to replace it if we don't know which one.

There was one around here for 3500 last week with around the same mileage but it sold quick

You should probably expect to pay 4.5-6k though

^^ Just saying that isn't the safest thing to put on here... people blur their plates, let alone give out VIN #'s... If someone can help you they will inbox you, for your own safety take the VIN down...

FYI a VIN search will only tell you whats been reported. That's only half the story. Take the time to look in and around everything to be sure what you're getting into. Once in while you'll run across a car that was never reported to insurance only to find out it's a total hack job and the frame is toast. But hey, it's got a clean title! LOL.. Also, a VIN search will reveal if the car is salvaged (so will looking at the title which is free if the guy has it) but won't tell you why. Is this a big deal? YES! Many people will write off their cars because the motor has problems. No big deal. Replace it and go. The down side is you loose value on your car because of this but it doesn't actually hurt the car itself. Good for you when you buy a car cheaper because of it, bad for you when it's time to sell.

Moral of the story, be knowledgeable about what the hell you're buying. Don't rely on a piece of paper or what you read on the internet. YOU must live with your choice so make it count!! Learn some things and apply your knowledge :thumbs up

+100000

I hate carfax reports. It is a waste of money and time. My Nissan mini truck I had just outside of highschool was $2000 shy of being totaled on a $11000 value and was NEVER on carfax.

Plus I know for a fact that I am the SECOND owner of my Civic and it is showing 5 owners on carfax?

The GLI I am buying has a clean carfax and was in one wreck that was reported. It was fixed at my best friends old shop and claimed under insurance, yet it doesn't show up?

There are 3 reasons right there that are exactly why I would never waste money on something like carfax. I only know this information because we have an account at work and I have looked all this stuff up before for shits and giggles. *No I will not run a carfax for you, OP*
