Opinions: CD Player

What do you guys think of this cd player? I'm leaning towards buying one of these. It's going to be in my 99 SI. Here's a pic.

Crutchfield is the only place that sells this model. It's got a HD Radio Tuner and you can customize your backgrounds for the cd player screen.

In my opinion, that cd player is a waste of money unless you are going to more of a show car look. An entry level alpine or eclipse will out perform that unit and last twice as long. In the end its completely up to you though.

it has a motorized face- bad, try to stay away from those they dont last too long and its not worth gettin them fixed when they go out...... that is pretty cheap for that deck is it on clearance or something?

it's on sale. and for motorized hu's i have a panasonic hu that is motorized and i had it for about 3 years now. still works mint. i'm not a very big fan of alpine, never experienced an eclipse deck. i want to treat myself good cause i never owned a deck with graphics on it. and my 99 SI, i want to go all out with it but still no in dash dvd player. that s**t will get stolen in like a week.

Ive heard that about the motorized faces as well.. It looks alright I just dont like the buttons very much..

I've had my Alpine for 5 years, never a hiccup *scary* motorized face and all.

at that price point, you are getting a lot of features. 5v preouts x3 will be useful. dont worry about the motorized face, our display unit worked perfect after almost 2 years of people touching it and pulling on it to see how the face came off and all that crap.

yeah, go for something like a older alpine or eclipse, even nakamichi if you got the money for it.
