I have a 95 civic si coupe, with a d16 V-tec, and i dont want to waste to much money with engine swaps and stuff (unless i really have to).
Im thinking of turboing my d16 v tec.. can anyone please give me some opinions or help?
What stuff should i change?
also, i found a turbo kit from ebay (about $850), are they any good or should i go to a different source to get turbo kits?
And do i have to get a dyno test ? Also, will it be hard or not as good if i turbo a v tec engine?
If i do end up turboing the d16 will i notice much power difference?
Could someone please answer those and also give me opinions, stuff ill have to change, get or upgrade, etc? Thank you in advance.

a turbo d series is great..
try turbodseries.org i believe for more info, but i would not go with an ebay turbo if u want it to be very reliable..

it all depends on which d series u have. i am guessing its a z6 since it says u have an si in ur avy.

u will need a tune and some dyno time wouldnt hurt.

look to spend about $1000-3000 for a decent setup to get u around or above 200hp at the wheels..

b16 turbo are sick and way more worthy but d series is awesome to though
money is a factor..and actually LS/Vtec turbo is the way to go
but if u dont have a lot to spend...turboing the D is still a huge dif and if the motor is properly built itll hang with the Bs no prob..

Ebay log manifold-$120
Tial 38mm Wastegate used-$120
Greddy type RS BOV- $200
Ebay Intercooler piping w/intercooler-$200
RC 550cc injectors used-$150
Golden Eagle oil feed sandwich adapter-$40
Golden Eagle Vacuum manifold-$40
spark plugs-$15
Custom Downpipe-$20
Little fittings, hoses, and clamps-$50
Hondata S300 tuned by authorized dealer- around $800

Ebay is good for cheap prices on things like pipings, manifolds (although this one varies), and intercoolers. Everything else is recommended to be bought from a trusted source.
