So, i just picked up a 2000 cx hatch, and i was thinking of putting in my 15, but it may be tooooo big, so i may just put my kicker c10's in there.

I was wondering if:

1. If I need to get a bandpass box, or can i just get a regular box?
2. Will it sound better with the speakers facing the front of the car, or the rear?

All opinions/input are appreciated...I will not be doing this until the wknd b/c I have to go make the support for the trunk (the board that goes under the carpet...guess I will go to Lowe's and get some MDF)...thanks y'all!!!

bandpass is a horrible enclosure for a woofer

go with a sealed facing toward the trunk.

And get that fifteen in there, make sure you put it in the right enclosure or it will sound horrible. Put it in the right enclosure with the right power and fifteens are the best sounding woofers, jmo

ok, so this may be a dumb question, but what do you mean by sealed enclosure? in my coupe, i have my sub (single 15) in a box that faces toward the trunk, put the sub is not completely enclosed, the face of it faces the trunk...but the box is sealed. will that work okay in the hatch?

so, for the hatch i was thinking of downgrading to 2 Kicker C10's (nowhere near as good as my single 15" RF Punch HX2), just so I could have some room in the "trunk" but I have not decided yet. any opinions folks?
