so i installed a MBC today... i still have the EBC hooked up but it's disconnected except between the EBC solinoid and the turbo... but I have my MBC hooked up to the wastegate actuator and from a T fitting between my BOV and intake manifold... the problem why I hated my EBC is that it would hold 10 psi beautifully but once I shifted, it would drop to 5 psi and work it's way back up so I decided to try a MBC... but NOW, when I have the MBC set at 10psi, it would boost up to 10 psi really fast! Problem is... once I get around 5500 rpm, my boost would fall off and drop to like 8psi... but once I shift, it would jump right back up to 10 psi... any thought?? I fixed one problem and ended up with another... BTW: the hose I used to connect the MBC to the vaccuum "T" between the bov and intake manifold, I'm sure the hose is too small in diameter... do you guys think that's the reason why my boost drops off? because the MBC can't get enough pressure from the intake manifold? I dont know what else would be the reason causing my drop off in the top of the RPM band.... i redline at 6800 btw.

what turbo do you have ? might just be your turbos are dyin out and cant support the pressure.

stock setup... i'm sure it can handle the 10 psi though because the turbo is good for 15psi. Also my engine only had like 15k miles on it so the turbo is still fresh. Had it checked out before the EBC/MBC went in

i prefer keeping the wastegate line seperate from the bov etc. you really should have a good big vac source. yes ppl can tee everything in a row off one but i would still feel better knowing each has a good solid vac source.

im still wondering why you are putting an mbc in over an ebc. did you check the components of the ebc?

where do you get your pressure source then? I've tried the turbo and the bov line. I simply was too lazy to keep playing with the ebc... haha

my wastegate runs off its own line on the IM. one of the bigger nipples. im not familiar with the layout of your intake manifold but splice the wastegate into one of the bigger lines on it. im not saying this is going to immediatly solve your problem but.. when it comes to troubleshooting its nice to have some things already eliminated.

you can run the wastegate line off the nipple on the compressor. just understand that your intake mani will see less boost because the wastegate would be opening sooner.

what ebc did you say it was again/

it was a greddy profec b spec ii. I'll try "T"ing it off some different lines. I notice that i'm hitting fuel cut or something now too if i dont floor it and hit full boost (it only takes about 1/3 gas to hit full boost on my turbo)

ugh i hate greddy products. but i know a good number of ppl do run the ebc

you said with the ebc that when you shifted you'd drop to like 5psi then build back up to 10... you sure this wasn't just the bov releasing the pressure during the shift?
