overhead tv... should I?

watsup. i got a chance to pickup a brand new 10" directed electronics overhead tv. includes a din size dvd player, 2 wirehead headphones, and the fm modulator. all brand new.

so... i own a 94 accord and it'll go there for my daughter. i had a portable 7 inch and she played wit it too much, so i figured this would be better.

would you guys do it? its really cheap, im talkin less than 1/3 of the retail value. would it look too ghetto cuz the car is stock?

to entertain your daughter, you must do it make sure the FM modulator is clean sounding though. mine from before sucked & i couldn't stand the static

i know. im runnin the fm mod through the rca input on the deck, so it should be pretty clear.

and now i can play video games on my lunch hr... 8)

but how would it look? i dont wanna cut a hole to find out.

I have a sunroof there isnt any room for anything bigger than say a 5". If I have a monitor in my car, it will be where the SRS system is on the passenger side....dvd in the glove.

sunroofs never stopped me from puttin any tv in any car... all u gotta do is find a way for it not too bother... but thats cool. sucks that if wifey does get a bigger car, she's takin the TV, and i will have a big hole!

let me clarify....... there is physically ROOM for it to be there by the sunroof. I just dont like how it looks... It blends in better in the dash IMO.

well to be honest the unit will stick out like a sore thumb. Even though the dei screens were slimlined it is still a rather bulky unit.
Your rearview mirror will be totally blocked, which is a safety issue.
You wont need to run the fm mod at all if you have a deck with aux inputs, so that will be cool.
I dont know. There will be a trade off. It will be ugly and a little unsafe

i know wat u mean. im still gettin it cuz wifey and i want to get a bigger car for next year so it will be useful anyways, but i might not be able to wait and i might just throw it in there. i guess when i get it, i will just test fit it to see....

i have one in my integra, it's AWESOME! as well as being very hard to see from outside the car..... nobody but the people i've told know it's there.
even people who've rode with me numerous times never noticed it was there.

i also have a sunroof, and no problems for me

how big is the tv u got? also, does it bother too much with the rearview?

while i'm driving it does block the rear view pretty much... i can cope, that's why i have side view mirrors

You should be able to go straight from the dei din size dvd player to your deck (pioneer im guessing. Even though it says alpine). Without the use of the fm modulater. I would look to replacing that dvd player as soon as you can. The directed dvd players sucked ass. And they also needed a patch to allow them play disney movies. You should be able to download it at thier website

i've have never actually had any customers come back with them. but i guess i can get the 4 yr warranty wit best buy for my discounted price and be covered for 4 yrs.
