my friend has a custom built turbo and we just got everything put together. we have all the oil lines right and works properly. but the temp. gauge just keeps going up. the turbo spools and the bov goes off too. we also changed to 10w 40 motor oil. would getting a oil cooler help? but then the temp. gauge is for the radiatior thermastat.

oil cooler, a better radiator, colder thermostat, and better raditor fans, are some of your options.

During the dyno on my friends turbo gsr the other day, the temp gauge started rising up to higher than the midway point. The head gasket started to leak with the new boost settings. Things got kinda creepy at 10psi with stock internals, but 220whp and 175ft lb tq wasnt bad niether.

How much boost are you running?

what the hell are you babling about.....what gauge is overheating...? Whatever it is, the common problem with overheating on a turbo motor is a blown head gasket

^^ head gasket maybe. Is it overheating at idle, or when your driving around? Whats the weather like in Oregon haha...

check into getting a Fluidyne and some nice big FAL fans...
