Where is the location of the ECT sensor, and if it is not the ECT sensor what does it mean if the code mention that the ECT has high voltage?
thank you

Thermo sensors like a ECT have a resister in them that changes the voltage with the temp to tell the car if the coolant is heating up or not. So say it reads 4.5v when the coolant is cold and .5v when it's at operating temps. If the sensor is bad but the ECM knows the car has been running for 10min and sees no voltage change ( high then normal) it will set a code.

Test the two ECT sensor wires for a short or open, and measure the resistance of the sensor itself when the engine is fully warmed up.
