P1457 Question

Hello forum viewers,
Recently I decided to do a Mini-Me swap on my engine.
Here's some information on it:
1996 DX
d16y7 block
d16y8 head, intake, injectors.
P2P ECU
Automatic transmission

Other current codes:
P0740 - vvvvvv
P0700 - these two just showed up.. more to try and fix -__-
P0325 - this one i also can't solve.

the knock sensor is a pain I've replace the edu because it wasn't outputting the right voltage for the knock pin but that still didn't fix and the knock sensor is a new one. so any help with this would be great as well.
If any other info is needed let me know.

as for the tranny codes, i have no clue, I've never touched my transmission expect for replacing the axels. it doesn't shift smooth sometimes kinda like its slips, its weird, i can try and get a video of it, if needed.

This is a specific question about the evap control.

When I am trying to diagnose the problem for this code they manual says to disconnect a 2P connector and also 3 way valve, I can't seem to find these.

My idle is not constant at all, and has problems.
it is mainly low and shaky. I have a vacuum gauge and the needle is not stable.

I am starting to think that since my car was a DX, that it doesn't have the right charcoal canister or any of that good stuff in there, causing it to not be able to properly manage the exhaust.
Could I be right?
attached is my current set up and the canister currently on the engine.

thanks for the help,

Brandon

You'll likely need to install a 96-98 EX auto transmission to clear code P0740.

Did you install a KS on the rear of the block and properly pin the wire to the ECU?

Are all EVAP system connectors and vacuum hoses plugged in?

Sorry for the late reply.

Yes the knock sensor is screwed into the back of the block below the intake manifold and it is pinned to the knock sensor port on my edu.

Yeah i have checked my lines and hoses, I'm starting to think that it is just that i need the right charcoal canister because the one i have only has a coupe lines coming out of it where the other ones like they have some type of two pin connector on it.

As for my transmission i am currently testing the lock-up control solenoid, just haven't gotten a chance because I've been working.

Ohm test the KS wire. If it's fine, then the KS or the ECU is the problem.

It's well known that the differences in gearing between the EX and DX auto transmission will throw transmissions codes if not matched to the correct ECU.

Good luck with the fixes.
