Hey everyone, so my 205/45/R16 falken ziex ze912s came in and they look so nice. definitely will look good with the rota grids that also came in the other day! (will post pics on my thread in the show off section when I throw them on later).

Anyways! I also bought black muteki extended lugs and after realizing the valve stems are chrome as shown below....

I would find it annoying to have bronze with black lugs and then a shiny chrome stem to kill the flow.

when spraying down chrome. should i use sand paper to make the surface course? then paint? or will paint stick just fine to smooth chrome? also thought about plasti dipping but idk how that would hold up long term.

thanks

plasti-dip is pretty strong still although it is removable..i vote for plasti-dipping it..no prep work is needed, just follow the directions on the can
i plasti-dipped my stock lugnuts and have taken off my wheels about 3-4 times since and the paint hasn't peeled yet.

you can just slide that chrome sleeve off the actual stem if you mess with em alil... well thats atleast how the ones at my job work.

then i'd just take your black plastic caps off your old stems and put them on those

yeah I was thinking that too. especially since they're valve stems. hardly mess with them anyways.

A friend of mine runs a powder coating company, I asked him to paint them for me. he said he could them for $20. def way cheaper then buying paint, sand paper, primer etc. for one time use.
