I do, I have been playing since I was 12, mainly woodsball as thats the only thing to really play when you live in the country, I have gone to some of the invasion of normandy and the the battle of stalingrad scenarios at a place called skirmish usa

it doesn't hurt that bad... its way exaggerated. it hurts if you get hit in the hands or the head. other than that it isnt bad. And woodsball is the s**t... I just spent 8 hrs creepin through the woods lookin for someone to shoot.

I don't know if I can technically say I play... but I have my own gear, and I play from time to time. It's just too damn expensive. Otherwise I'd play often. I prefer woodsball. I'm a stealthy motherfucker =oP

I plan on going June 6th, awesome sport. I have a decent amount of gear. I started out with a Tippmann 98, then got a Kingman (absolutely never get one), then got a Smart Parts Ion and loved it. So I stuck with that for a while. I have a $200 Empire barrel kit for it, $265 Dye Throttle 68/4500 tank, and a Halo hopper. I also bought a Shocker about 2 years ago, its pretty nice but I actually like my Ion better. It needs some work though. I normally play woodsball too. I tore up my knee about 3 years ago playing, needed surgery for it later.

i dig my 98... most places i play don't allow autos, and its got a response trigger.... <3.. I did a stupid amount of work to it back when i used to play all of the time... i bought like 4 or 5 barrels (lapco, flatline, custom products, J&J) Got an Expansion chamber, drop forward, double trigger, and a stock (cause it looks badass)

All in all i'm really impressed with my tippman... its been soaked in mud, dropped in puddles, drug through the snow, and i still haven't had any problems with it

I dont use full auto, I use semi-auto. Places here dont even allow a ramped mode, they strictly allow semi-auto. And 280fps or under.

Yea Tippmann's are beasts, they really are. Thats why I wanted to get rid of my Shocker and get an X7 Phenom.

I dont know how far away from central jersey you are, but we are playing at On Targer on June 6th. Welcome to go so you at least have a group to stick with.

bumping this thread b/c i'm getting my gear together for some woodsball this summer and fall. currently i have 2 guns, both tippmanns.

I have a Pro/Carbine on CO2 with a 38mm red dot sight, full size bipod and 16" true flight barrel. this is my designated marksman setup.

I also have an X7 also on CO2 with a large goodie bag of accessories. Currently installed: Lapco "big shot" 8" barrel, Tapco retractable M4 stock, M4 front foregrip with AA battery storage (spare batteries for the sight), and EOTech 512 weapon sight (slightly overkill, but i had it laying around unused). Depending on the scenario I have several other parts; 10" pathfinder barrel, X7 Flatline system, MP5 front grip, commando air-thru stock, remote bottle system

i had a 98 a long time ago, before the Custom model came out. It was a great gun, pretty versatile. I love the X7 though. Extremely customizable. It can go from a moderate speedball gun to a crazy good woodsball gun in a matter of minutes. Only downfall is that it doesnt support HPA or nitrogen as-is. The new X7 Phenom model does support the other air systems though... too bad that came out not long after i had already bought the X7

the next purchase will be the Response Trigger assembly for the X7. It simulates automatic fire or burst fire without the need for electronics. It's all in the finger lol

That EOTech is overkill

I miss paintball, but I'm honestly too old for it. I don't know if my body could take it much more. I used to have an Ion, with a Shocker as my backup. I loved the Ion, but it needed work so I started using the Shocker as my main gun. We slowly stopped playing, so I sold my gear. Tippmann makes great guns, I had a regular 98 as my first gun. If I ever get back into paintball, I would likely get an A5.

the EOTech came off my sig sauer carbine. i wanted something with magnification so i pulled it off the sig and just never sold it. figured i'd dress up the X7 with it until i find good use :guns:

I never used optics on any of my guns. I was disgustingly accurate with the Ion, and I could shoot pretty damn quick with it too in semi-auto.

the X7 came with a nice adjustable iron sight, but the pro/carbine is pretty useless. it sits way too low and is short. the optics are mostly for bling factor during scenario play. just to add some realism
