Painted Side Moldings

hey i got some pictures of my car after i completed painting my side moldings, side skirts, mirrors, and license plate frame.....i also have pictures of my new short shifter and type r style shift knob...... sorry the car is kinda dirty











give me some comments please........

yea how about a little how to. what kinda of paint did you use? jspec i know did the same thing i wanted to aks him what he did and what paint as well.

i left everything on the car to paint...washed the moldings, adn cleaned them with rubbing alcohol.....a friend and i spent about 2 hours taping off everything carefully then we sprayed on about 4 coats....... came out pretty decent.....i still have yet to put a clear coat on but i am planning on doin that next time im home for week or more..... with out the clear coat it is a little duller but not by much beings the paint already had some mixed in with it (i had the paint mixed for me @ a paint shop in my hometown).....i didnt take pictures for the paint job and there is already a DIY for painting the moldings, but hopefully soon enough i will have a DIY for the install of the short shifter.....................

so a paint shop can match the paint and then put it in a aerosol spray can. i always knew they can match it but didnt' know they could put in a aerosol spray can. or did you just get a match and painted it with a brush ?

looks good, i wish they sold DAP spray paint so i could do this myself....i tried with my front lip using a midnight blue pearl.....it matches in the shade, but doesn't in light....it looks aiight for the for the front lip, but if i tried any other peice like my rear lip or side skirts, it would look like poop

Dont know about a paintshop, but you can buy your color in aerosol at autozone, or somewhere... by Duplicolor... I did my wifes car that way.

Yes, the shop i went to now offers an arosol option they just started doing it a few months ago....works great!

you can buy your color in aerosol at autozone, or somewhere... by Duplicolor...

Duplicolor does not carry all the colors for hondas...only some.....and the auto part stores dont carry any arosol spray cans that match my color of paint.
