painting dash pieces chrome/silver // how?

i have a teggy black on black i wanted to spray paint the plastic pieces (gauge cluster vent covers door handle trim etc.) im new to this and i dont wanna mess it up .. i want it shiny and smooth , do i get any plastic paint and thats it or do i sand it first and if i do what kind of paper do i use and what kind of paint etc..

i wouldn't recommend doin it... i did it, got tired of it after a while and fkd em up when i was tryin to get the paint off... but if u want to do it just do a coat or two of primer, light sand, two to three coats of paint and a coat or two of clear...

Dammit! I just spent money out at the Honda wrecking yard getting rid of all the spray painted interior s**t in my GS-R.

Ricer that owned it before me had it painted yellow. Yellow on black like a big ass bumblebee. :roll:

My advice, don't do it. You will get tired of it after a while and really the only thing you can do is get new pieces. Just get a couple of carbon fiber pieces or something to spice it up, so that if you get tired of those you can replace it with the old...

A little sanding cleaned it with alchol and used Krylon fusion blue.
