ok my question is i really want to paint my intercooler and my piping black because i want my intercooler to be less noticable and i heard painting the intercooler and pipping helps keep the heat temp down and helps run it cooler.....

so what paint should i use to paint the pipping and intercooler ?

and is it true painting it black helps keep intercooler and pipping temp down ?

so far i have is a T3 turbo and a drag exhaust manifold...

planning on getting the intercooler and piping from west coast turbo site...

think about it...is paint over the ic gonna help dissipate heat?no.have it anodized.you can use use high temp paint on the ic piping to be safe.but the color has NOTHING to do with it,thats just unrealistic

get high temp paint for the tubing...dont pain the IC fins...alot of times peeps dont know wtf they are doin and put too much paint on the fins and make a clog...get the fikns painted at a radiator shop...they use a high temp paint and paint the fins at a higher pressure to insure no clogs

clog?how the hell do you clog fins?its called lack of heat dissipation...or dispursement.anodizing is the way to go,not paint.

too much paint build up will clog the fins...when a radiator shop paints the fins they do it with a high pressure paint gun...u wont have any heat issues... we have done it before and it was very successful...yeah you can get it anodized BUT downtime and cost are the primary factor

Paint will not keep temperatures down on the front mount. If you want lower temp, get a bigger sized intercooler.

I was stating he wont have any additional probs with heat...he wanted to paint it to make it less noticeable
