Passenger Door Lock Problem

The passenger door lock in my 2000 Civic Coupe EX has recently stopped working. The strange part is that it will still work occassionally. When it doesn't work my Viper alarm remote won't unlock it and neither will the switch on the driver's side. IT is really annoying because I can't use my keyless entry b/c I never know if it is going to lock the door. My driver side door lock works fine. Is this a problem with the actuator? Could it be a wiring/fuse problem? Please help me before I have to go drop like $300 at Honda.

Yeah, with something like that try and determine if it is a mechanical problem or an electronic problem. Sit in the car and arm the car. If you don't hear the door actually attempt to lock it then it is obviously an electrical problem. Depending on how much you want to troubleshoot this it is up to you. It might some oil or the actual door lock is getting stuck on something. I would try to narrow it down more. That usually helps
