Does anyone know how to remove the passenger side dash panel on a 2006 honda civic, the panel where the air bag is?

hmmmm

do you mean the passenger pillar (next to winshield, or the above top panel that covers the dash? if you can give me a reason why you ask i might be able to give you an easier solution as well

The piece below the pillar, Its the piece above the glove box, I'm trying to remove it to paint it black because I'm changing the interior color and am having trouble removing it. And yes I think it's what you say the top panel that covers the dash.

to take that out you need to pull out the above dash speedometer. its 2 screws and a few clips. use a small screw driver to pry it up. pull the radio piece, the above tachometer peice, and the piece next to it to gain access. You will need to pull the glove box as well. Your really better off masking it off and spraying it

Ok thank you, I'll go with the masking off and spraying, its more of a pain but will be easier in a way
