Phearable ECU Install on B18a1

I just installed a Phearable ECU on my 94 Civic B18a1 motor.....
Seems to be a little lazy with the acceleration compared to the stock ECU.....I didn`t change anything but the ECU....My dizzy is smack dab in the middle of the housing....If anything it`s turned more to the back(firewall) on the adjustment....Is that retarded or advanced.....Cam timing is sweet....Generic cold air short ram...Maybe I just need to get used to the new settings???

... What is it chipped for? Getting a chipped ECU is really pointless for NA setups unless you have a whole bunch of NA mods. A chipped ECU just allows different basemaps on the computers, which can then be tuned. Used mainly in FI setups. Not saying a car won't run with a chipped ECU, it will, you just need to have it tuned to whatever you have in your car for parts. Usually little to no tuning is required for I/H/E on a Honda.

Do you have the correct basemap on there?

Yes,I talked to the guy on the phone and told him exactly what I had....And I do know it`s just a base map type of setup....It`n not heavily chipped for my basic setup....Just took and moved the rev limiter up to 7500 instead of 6000, compensated for the header,bigger exh pipe,,more free flowing intake....That kinda stuff....My son had his b20 done and brought to the drag strip and it went from 15.7`s to 15.teen`s.....I know I`m not expecting a big crazy improvement...Just asking if moving the dist. ,adv or retard would giving a little more throttle response....
Thank you for your input.....

Well I retarded to dist. just a tad and just got back from a 5 gear 6000 rpm drive on the back roads here with the new chipped ECU....I know y`all don`t think the ECU mod makes any difference to a N/A B18a1 motor but I notice the difference....Best bang for the buck IMO....
clockwise= ign. retarded
counter clockwise= ign. advanced
