Yes and no! She won't get rid of the tezzas. She still likes them. What am i gonna say? It's her car. I offered to buy the half white and reds like mine but, she doesn't want them. Altezzas are still the norm in our city. I've only seen 2 5th gens with the half red and whites. When she finally gets another car I'm taking the 93 as my daily and I'll change the tails. 8)Mr. Lin said:Your wife has the same corners I used to have.
What's with the tezzas? Haven't you converted her to the good side?
nope, it's gonna need a conversion. But, I'm never gettin rid of it. I'm gonna try and keep both the civics as long as i can. I'm always looking back on the cars I've had wishing I still had them... I'm not letting these go. I kinda look at them as the hotrod of our generation. The 93 I would trade for a hatch but, I don't really wanna do that, the body is in great shape and the interior is perfect. A girl had it before we bought it and it was bone stock.Mr. Lin said:Is it a stick? You should sell it to me.
Awe man....... now if you lived here that would actually be tempting. But, I know how much of a pain in the ass the upkeep on those is. Simple things cost 3 times as much on those things. But, they're totally worh it. If it were an E30 M3, I'd be on my way to you! 8) But, you'd never offered that.Mr. Lin said:I'll trade the E30 for it 8)
I had to replace the front passenger side control arm and the exhaust. That really wasn't something that would make me question reliability or anything, it was just expensive.Mr. Lin said:About upkeep? Everything on this E30 is original except for the left front fawg, which was stone-cracked.
There has been no replacement of any other part...
Actually... that's not entirely true.
When my mother drove it into a ditch like a moron back in 91 or 92, the front end was professionally rebuilt.
But that's all in the past.
108k miles of pure enjoyment.
I didn't do much under the hood of my bimmer.I never had the money for it and it never had any problems. You should do some mods to it someday. They look good lowered on 16s or 17s.Mr. Lin said:True... Anywho... we're gonna be haulin her out to Las Vegas with us.
I think dad and I will get to workin on her because we'll have a garage out there.
No no... the E30s are the only ones that are 4x100, but with the BMW rims, you have lugs that screw into the hub, and our civics have lugs that screw onto the spindle whatever you call em.6sic6 said:Yeah, the bimmers have a different bolt pattern. I had some rims on mine for 6 months that didn't quite fit. lol
huh, i just figured they were something different than a 4x100. I had rims off of some sort of toyota supposed to be 4x100 and they made the car shimmy. The bolt pattern was a bit off. weird.Mr. Lin said:No no... the E30s are the only ones that are 4x100, but with the BMW rims, you have lugs that screw into the hub, and our civics have lugs that screw onto the spindle whatever you call em.
My rims fit the BMW, but the BMW's rim didn't fit mine.
Same bolt pattern, probably different offsets.
