ok guys, i just got the greddy kit for the d16z6
-greddy type S BOV
-bar and plate IC
-turbosmart manual boost controler (getting it for real cheap)
-ACautotechnic boost and oil pressure gauge
-chipped ecu w/ uberdata

im planning on just running at 7psi.

so my questions are:
am i missing anything? if so what? (fuel pressure regulator, walbro fuel pump, colder spark plugs...?)
should i get dsm injectors, or will my the stock ones do fine at 7psi? (i should probably search this i know, but its late and im goin to bed soon)

one last thing, if i get the injectors what else do i need, liek resistor box and all that stuff, and how much do these usually go for?

Thanks for any input!
turbo will be installed within the next 2 weeks hopefully!!!

I don't think you should take any of my advice , cause I don't have a turbo... but I know people who do have them. These are the things I think you should get.

1. Upgraded Headgasket
2. Air / fuel ratio gauge.
3. Upgraded Intercooler w/ custom intercooler piping
4. Upgraded ignition system - spark plugs , wires , distributor cap / rotor , performance ignition system if you choose
5. Upgraded fuel system - fuel rail , fuel injectors , fuel pump regulator if you choose.

Those are my suggestions. Do some research on prices since now you have some kind of idea what to look for.

1. if his head gasket is not leaking, its fine
2. without a wideband in his car, an a/f ratio gauge is useless. an egt gauge is far more helpful
3. he has an intercooler
4. if his stock stuff is in good condition, theres no need to change it, he already has the correct plugs
5 except for the possible need for the pump and definite need for injectors, nothing else is needed.

you will need some larger injectors, and possibly a larger pump, but otherwise, you have it all covered. please dont listen to clowns who dont know what boost is about.

Why do I have to be considered a clown?

i just think its kinda funny to tell a guy who has an intercooler to buy one, to buy a fuel rail when honda rails are good for 400 whp, to buy ignition upgrades when its an absolute waste, a gauge that wont tell him anything (without a wideband, and most of those have controllers with the gauge built in anyway). thats a whole lot of unnecessary stuff to buy.

I said get a upgraded one. ( intercooler ) A fuel rail , even tho they're capable to handle up to 400hp stock , Aftermarket ones still allow more fuel to flow threw than a stock one. ( usually ) Ignition systems idilize maximum performance with the combustion in the engine ( spark ) creating more power. I always thought more power was better? Upgraded ignition systems helps with better fuel conspumtion ( better gas mileage ) as well as maximizes the full potentional with other performance parts done to the vehicle. And a air / fuel gauge " with a wideband " is better to have than not to have anyways. I disagree , but regardless of the fact. My advise wasn't supposed to be takin all together , whichever advise he does choose to go with , I'm sure he's smart enough to make the wise one. Thanks for the compliments tho.

ignition systems do nothing.. erick aguliar's 9.9 second all motor civic uses a completely stock honda ignition system- right down to the wires and plugs. if there was ANY horsepower to be gained by using an aftermarket ignition, im sure he would be using one. he doesnt. a d16 on 7 psi of boost wont run faster than a 9.9, and as such, doesnt need an ignition. an a/f gauge without a wideband does little more than make blinking lights go back and forth, it is of no value. if the fuel rail is sufficient flow for his application, why upgrade? it just seems like you want to spend money for the sake of spending money.

hahaha... I do to , that's remark was funny. I hope your not getting upset with me and this debate that we're having. I guess we just look at things differently that's all.

im not upset at all.. i just dont make a lot of money and prefer to spend it on things that do need to be replaced instead of parts that add no hp.
