Please help!

I'm new to this forum, and new to working on cars. I got out of the navy a year ago and recently bought my first car ever this 91 civic Si Hatch that I fell in love with at first sight. It came with a D16z6 engine. It smoke out of my tail pipe and a mechanic told me it needs a new catalytic converter. Anyways, I'm here because I parked it at a friends apartment last night and someone hit it! On the driver's side, taking out the fender, turning signal light, and the headlight.

So, I'm currently strapped for cash after buying parts, and the place I was gonna take it to is asking for $500, what I come here for is: Can anyone point me in a direction where I can do some research to fix it myself? Or at least someone who can do it for cheaper than $500 in the Houston area? Please, help.

No, I only have liability. but after this I'll be switching it over to full coverage.

Prolly a good idea. Is the frame bent? Otherwise just craigslist/junk yard the headlight/fender/bumper and whatever else is broken

When I bought my car the front end was messed up from it being pushed into another car. I just junkyard'd a new core support and bumper and then got a new hood and headlights and was good to go. Just paid a shop to remove the old support and weld the new one one and that was about $300 for labor

Research what? How to do body work? Replacing panels?

500 bucks don't sound too bad if there going to be replacing parts and painting by the time you replace the fender lights and any other parts you will be half way there depending if you go with salvage parts or attempt to find newer OEM replacement parts IMO
