ok so today driving up to north alabama i saw a porsche 911 police car, pretty badass,
then on the way back home there was an unmarked g35 that flew by flashing lights to get a guy,
and to my knowledge abc police here are planning on building a gtr for themselves.

so i started this just wondering what kind of cars are your cops using?

in cali it's the usual crown vics, chargers, suburbans, mustangs, f150, and out east they have jeeps.

Jesus christ you guys are f**king lucky. Thats f**king awesome. Here in NJ we have mostly crown vics, some chargers, and some kind of generic SUV, I think explorer. Nothing cool. Then again they are also cutting the budgets dramatically and merging/cutting departments. I dont think they have money for cool cars

they dont buy them..they take confiscated vehicles and turn them into cop cars..in portland whn i was there we had vipers porsches cameros and in houma LA they confiscated a mazzaratti from a drug bust and turned it into a dare cop car..

yep, my friends dad which is the officer in the department thats supposed to be driving the GTR says that most of the "cool" cars are seized

I know at least about 6 years ago, a department just north of me seized a lambo in a drug raid and were using that as an undercover car for a while.

yeah x2 on the "comp cop cars" Down throughtout Ga, Al, and Fl they have from camaro SS, vics, lambos, suburbans, tahoes,gmc jimmys (narcs), jeeps (feds) , and the Dothan Alabama PD used a white civic with lips, nitrous,14g turbo kit that they comped from a drug trafficer, impalas, and most of our motrocycle cops have converted to crotch rockets, there are about 6 hyabusa 1300s here too. They use them bc of hwy 231 south and I 10. Atlanta has a couple 911's and a "team" or crotch rockets. But atlanta also has bike clubs where you have to do 30 miles in 3 minutes, 180 on I65! we crazy round here.

the pd here replaced all there old bikes with new bmw bikes

All the normal vehicles for Georgia....but once a few years back I saw a Lambo in South Carolina. They didnt even repaint it! It was yellow with the HWY Patrol vinyl on the doors and of course the lights up top. Thats the coolest cop car Ive actually seen on the side of the road.

A few years back I went to a show in Atlanta and there was an NSX all "copped" out. The guys at the stand said it was legit, but I never saw on the streets.
