well i know you couldn't really tell from the pics of the rims when i got them but, the rims looked alittle oxidized so yesterday i decided to polished them. i dunno if you'll be able to tell from the pics or not. they were taken w/ my phone. i also did my and my grandmas headlights. incase your wondering, all i did was wetsand and then clearcoat. here's the pics

when i first put them on:

notice they shined alittle but, no bling bling. actually not that bad but it's because they're wet.

after polishing:

notice the difference from the first pic?

before i polished them:

after i wetsanded:

after clearcoat:

i dunno if you can really tell all that great. those pics were outta the sun and you can't really tell the difference.

here's some of the headlights
before:

after:

the sun was going down and i have no flash. here's more.

in this on the pass. side was done and the driver side wasn't

here's with both:

and my grandma's neon headlights
filthy:

clean:

much better as you can see. it's a good thing she doesn't drive at nite that often.

and last but, certainly not least

yeah, i just took some low grit sand paper and wetsanded the headlights and masked the general area off then clearcoated them. it's an easy, inexpensive detail you can do if your bored with old, yellowed headlights

the cat was just sleeping in the sink so i decide to snap a quick pic

The rims look good. That's a good job you did with the headlights, a night and day difference!

follow the DIY posted on here ( http://www.clubcivic.com/board/showthread.php?t=96334&highlight=DIY+polish) and do the polishing right and you can get alot of them deep nicks outta the wheels + make them scratch free

i.e. mine i did bout a month ago (don't mind the bird poo, and they're dirty, it's too windy here to wash my car now)
this is mine after i clear coated them and painted the inside spokes black + black lugs =)

here's before the tires right after painting and clear coating (look kinda foggy cuz it was cold that night) but you can see they're minus scratches and stuff...and when i got these they were ROUGH

btw, what'd you use to clean your headlights? my g/f's car's lights are HAZED like crazy

Yeah, a lot of other makes are much easier to clean than 6th gen Civic headlights. LIke Eclipse headlights... those ones are easy to fix up.

thanks guys. for the headlights i just took some low grit sandpaper and wetsanded them. it'll look kinda like you just scratched the hell outta the headlights but, once you spray them with clear coat they'll look fine.

No you're right. I though this was another thread I just saw where my DIY thread was referenced. My bad.
