Positive and Negative Sides of Stock Speakers

i need some help... installing stock speakers back into the rear of the car and i need to know which side of the speaker is positive and which side is negative... even if someone could run to their car real quick and look or snap a picture of the connector with their phone or something?

i have wire colors...

Left Rear
(+) Blue/Yellow
(-) Gray/White

Right Rear
(+) Red/Yellow
(-) Brown/White

cant you just try it one way and if that doesnt work try it the other?

it would work... but i don't want the phase (wether speaker goes in or out) to be off for the front and back

smaller terminal is negative, larger one is positive on most aftermarkets

Edit: stocks, they should snap right in to th harness, but if you missing the harness, Looking at the terminal with the inside Notch UP, Left is +, Right is -

oh, i thought they only worked one way, i didnt realize it reversed the direction of the speaker

accord... i am missing the harness (lesson learned)... with the clip, do you mean the notch inside the connector on the speaker? i have a 96 by the way

yes... i thought the same a while ago... when i got a sub for my basement i saw it had a phase switch (normal and reverse positions) on it and was curious as to what it did... if you loose bass after installing or hooking up any speakers check the phasing... if both speakers go in and out the same way you get bass, but i was the phasing correct with the front to maximixe sound quality

I just double checked my connectors, Looking at the terminal with the inside Notch UP, Left is +, Right is -

accord... i soldered the negative the right side and pos to the left on both speakers and it worked perfectly... originally i had the right rear speaker semi-blown and front left speaker completly gone... i'm on a serious budget so i got fronts and rears from an Si for super cheap... they sound perfectly fine... i'm in the process of fixing up the interior and this was the first step... next is a 96-98 oem clock (courtesy of VTi), amber guages and climate control, putting stock radio (amber as well) back in with keyless entry, relocating my alpine deck to the cupholder area, replacing both sunvisors (terrible shape), and getting the door jamb sensors for the dome light (having a terrible time finding)... thank again for your help man
