ok but doesn't help me out. i need someone to post pics and HID Kit not retrofit cutoff. im looking to get some HIDs but i wanna see what how the cut off looks like cuz if it looks like s**t then i won't even bother. but if the scatter is at its minimal then ill consider it.

there is no cut off line with hid kits on hologen head lamps especially from a 96-00 civic headlight. no matter how good of a hid kit there will still be scatter. theres only a very few that have minimal scatter. only way to get a cut of line is retro fitting. but the only person i can think of that has hid on 96-98 headlights that are on this forum is oc_civic.

^^^ basically what he said, how much is a HID kit? like 300-400, maybe more. Retro fits will probably run you 600ish, I would go that root rather than just tossing a KID kit on halogen lamps. I guess you didnt try the link I sent for the thread on Clubcivic...

i got hid's on my 96...
i have seen some pretty bad pics of people with hid and the scatters are all around...
but to tell u the truth mine is not like that..and i dont understand why people make such a big deal about it...
i have a pretty good cutoff line for a reflector...and i have 10k so i guess that's why u dont see the scatter so much since i dont really have as much light as a 4300lk on the street...

but u know what i got no problem with it..my shyt has no glare either...as long as u aim it right it will look fine..and it beats the hell out of the stock yellow shitty light
all in all i dun regret my decision at alll...
u can buy projectors for bmw, audi, acura, nissan..anywhere from 100-300 and cut that shyt up and make it fit ur headlight...but again i dont put that before the other stuff that i gotta do to the car...eventually i'm sure i'll get the projectors...
i'll take pics and put them up tonight or tomorrow..

i've got HID's in my 98, and they don't scatter too much and don't really have too much glare either. I paid $280 for mine, they are already set up for H4 type bulb sockets and have the little sheild on them so they don't scatter all over the place and ther 8000 k so they have a blueish tint to them. i'll try to post some pics later on tonight when i get home from work or sometime tommorrow

it's mccullough 10k kit..
i didn;t get to take the pics yet..i'm the biggest f**kin procrastinator..but i'll put up some old pics with the hid's..
and i'll take a pic liek u asked as well..
10k doesn;t really put out nowere as much light as 41-4300 k...i know that NOW...lol but i still love the color that i have...
i've seen people with 6k and 8k with the ugliest f**kin blue that u can ever imagine..
my color is to die for..but the camera flash for some reason won;t grab the exact color..cause of the reflection i guess...
but i'll take the wall pic too and put 'em up..here's some others for now..
