post up your projects that your working on, other than your civic, can be anything.

im rebuilding the kohler m18 engine in my uncle's lift. shits expensive. had to take 2 engines with problems and make 1 good one. one in the lift had a cracked block, the engine that we where going to rebuild for the spare at destroyed heads, and the only thing good on it was the block so we took the two apart and did some swapping. to replace this engine with a new one would cost about the same as a b18 from passwordjdm, they wanted 3k for a new 18hp kohler engine. 2 cyl.

and please no bashing this thread.

expensive as hell. the two sets of rings where 100. the only reason we rebuilt it was because my uncle wanted to keep the kohler, i was trying to convice him to get a briggs or honda.

ok. i got the engine torn back down. for some f**ked up reason one of the nuts came off of a connecting rod and it came loose, bent the studs, and was knocking. and right now i cant decide what im more pissed off at, the engine or my dad. he seems to think that i put the f**king rod on backwards, ive tried to convice him that they are f**king SYMETRICAL... it doesnt make a f**king difference. and its like arguing with some one that doesnt get it but is conviced that they are right. keeps coming up with stupid excuses when he knows nothing about it. f**king sucks.:stfusmack::brickwall:

solved the problem, put in a new honda v-twin. so now i have to fix the briggs one last time so he can sell it to recoupe some of the money he spent on parts for it.

1966 Mustang Coupe.
Fully rebuilt and upgraded 302ci bored .30 over. C4 trans with shift kit and 2200 stall converter. Full 2.5 Flowmaster exhaust 40 series. Brand new white vinyl seats and B&M Star detent/ratchet shifter. Shaved rocker panels and quarter panel emblems and 2" cowl induction fiberglass hood. Also not pictured is the billet grill.
Paint is custom mixed by Napa auto parts. It's pretty close to the Nissan Sunburst orange but it's a tad bit darker and has extra small gold flake to brighten it up when the sun is out.

Originally was my 1st project, but ran out of money and it needed a bunch of engine work. So I started spending little amounts on the honda and the mustang got neglected. Finally a buddy of mine needed some extra cash so he finally helped me out with the motor problems. ended up being something totally stupid. Head bolts weren't torqued right so the gasket wasn't sealing and it was over heating. re-machined the heads, and a new gasket and correct torquing and it was back in running shape.
here's a few pics, I don't have any on photobucket pre-paint but I'll try and get some. also don't have any super recent ones with the half interior in it and all lights and grill installed.
this was a day after paint back in april 09

these three were us just as we backed it out of the paint shop before the truck got there. snapped a few shots in the fading light. (no flash)

(with flash)

one from the side as I held the steering wheel as the tow truck driver pulled it onto the lift.

I'll try and post more pics later.
