Powder Coating?

Hey guys, just wanted to see if anyone has done any powder-coating on there car? The main concern with 10-20 year old cars is rust, especially in the northern states where stupid people dump a lot of salt during the winter time. Anyways on the bmw forums, the people with the e36's and e30's, they powder coat the subrame and other suspension components so they last longer and wont rust.

Now I have a 94 dx, which according to carfax has been up north its whole life:oops: As you would expect with a 16 year old car, parts are starting to rust, especially bolts.

So my idea was, since i will be doing a rear disc brake conversion, to powdercoat the trailing arms to make them last longer.

Im interested if anyone here have done any powdercoating to there civic, and which part did you powdercoat?

Deffinetly look into doing it. I haven't done anything so far, however, this summer I plan on buying a powder coating gun, sand blasting case, and an oven. That way I can do it all myself :p Project Car did that not too long ago...they did the trailing arms, upper control arns, lower control arms. Pretty much anything that could be removed from the bottom of the car.

Awesome. Yeah let me know how the kit turns out. I've seen them too but i really don't have a usable oven at home. My mom's oven is strictly for baking... and by baking i mean food, not painted parts. lol
