My power locks have suddenly stoped working. One day they just wouldn't work. I checked the fuse in the engine bay and its good. I have an aftermarket alarm that was hooked up to the power locks and when i set the alarm the doors don't lock. when i try to lock them while i'm in the car i.e. driving, it doesn't work. Even when i use my key to lock the driver side door, all the others would lock as well and now it doesn't. Any suggestions on what to check?

Sounds like the actuator (motor) for the locks are out. I'm not sure if there's just one that controls them all or single ones for each door, but I would check that.

you might have a bad relay...

do you know anything about alarms?...you have two relays...a lock relay and an unlock relay...they might be outside the alarm brain or built in to the alarm brain...if they are built into the brain it should have a fuse somewhere close by...drop your dash and take a peek...but dont monkey with the wiring if you dont know what you are doing...

take it back to whoever installed it...

if the actuator was fried it would be very hard to unlock and lock your door...and i find it hard to believe that all the actuators would die at the same time (although i am sure it has happened before)...
