Power window problem?

Hello everyone,


About 2 days ago like 2 of the teeths that connect to the motor to help it go up and down got grinded all of a sudden,
now it doesnt close all the way i have to basically help it skip those 2 teeth than after that it can go up itself.
Can this be fixed and repaced on youre own or what can i do? and any advice as how to avoid it in the near future just in case,
if there is? Hope everyone knows what im talking about.

The teeth off the motor or the regulator? replace to component that lost the teeth

thx for pointing out the right name, yeah the motor is good its the regulator and its the part in the picture.

Is it possible to just change that part or not?
